About the stakes...

Writer's picture: Clara du PlessisClara du Plessis

The 27th of March we had time set aside on "This Land" to walk and pray and we also paused to worship. The significance of this morning was when we hit in the first stake that located the access road leading from GLA through the big gate. In the photo from the left is me, Clara then Ronny our fulltime gardener and Barend on the right the 'compost guy'. So significant that we all holding the stake together illustrating that our strength lies in standing, working and moving forward as a team.

We are currently mapping out a portion of the land to locate where the trees for the wind break need to come and where we want to construct our next dam or should I rather say pond.

This image above shows stakes with blue spray paint indicating the location of the new pond. This pond will receive water form the overflow of the big dam. In the photo my son is sitting in faith...on the edge of the pond expectant to see the completion of this plan.

We are also planning to plant 108 indigenous trees in our 240 meter wind break by the end of May.

I am encouraged by the following scripture and would love to share it with you:

Isaiah 58:11

The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun - scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well watered garden like a spring whose waters never fail.

Just a shout out to a farmer who donated his old netting to us. We received 3 sugar bags full of recycled netting that is so needed in our area and we are planning many projects that will benefit from this.
