About those stakes...

Looking back over the last few weeks the days are marked with red, white and yellow stakes that mark the layout of our food forest.

We have been working alongside Zirk Kay who moved to Jbay with his family; Charne (his wife) and his 3 sons (Jonathan, Samuel and Daniel) they served Jesus in Zithulele. Zirk is a architect and he approached me about designing the garden for "This Land" and we are busy with the first phase. What a joy to sketch Words spoken and picture thoughts on paper.

Currently we are staking the boundaries, the access roads and we are planning to establish the area for the wind break. In a week or two from now if the Lord will's we will be receiving more than 200 trees that will be planted in a 240 meter windbreak. This is a significant moment in planning the garden because the wind is one of our biggest challenges.

Preparing 200 holes for the trees will be our second challenge...hahaha!!

We love planting trees.

After a lot of measuring and calculating its such a joy to see the different areas located by the stakes. This gives us time and room to get a feel for things and also more time to make changes. What a joy to walk things out that HE ordained so long ago. He is faithful.

Our compost is ready and we have also decided to sell some of the it to pay for the bills. We have been sifting and bagging compost this week and we have already sold more than 10 bags to the community. This is a wonderful priviledge.
