A full circle

In the year 2003 I heard the Lord ask me to move to the Western Cape to help a friend establish his adventure camp called Drostersberg Adventures. At that stage I was 23 years old. I was still young and looking for my purpose in life and allowing Jesus to shape my identity. We facilitated many camps in the Western Cape and we used this platform to share the love of Jesus.
That year the Lord lead us to a farm in Porterville called Waterfall. Here we met a man called Mac Jordaan that most definitely would outplay Victor Matfield (Springbuck rugby player). Mac and Susan had a beautiful farm with a high rock face and 22 waterfalls that you could reach by holding on to ropes and balancing on rocks. Mac allowed us to use this beautiful space to facilitate adventure survival camps. The first time Mac took us up this beautiful gorge to see the waterfalls I saw a man with so much passion and love for God’s creation and there was no way anyone could keep up. His feet were like a mountain goat, steady and quick.
Yesterday 27 September 2022 the Lord lead us to this farm on our Luke 10 journey only to find out that Mac is Wikus Steyn’s cousin. Here I was standing before this giant of a man, Mac only to realize he is now one of South Africa’s most successful citrus and olive plant producer through cuttings. Yesterday was a full circle for me! Here I was standing before this giant and I know exactly who I am and what God has prepared my life for.
I spent all my time asking Mac questions and making notes on everything like a freshman student. What a privilege to meet this man and learn from him. What a beautiful connection God orchestrated today. Not only did I gain knowledge on cuttings but we also left the farm with 100 trees; olives, pomegranate, figs and mulberries.
