A Biologist visited 'This Land": He looked at the soil, he smelled the crushed leaves and he pointed out the old trees. We stopped at a plant, a shrub-like bush and he said:” Look at this plant. It must be at least 200 years old. It has taken years for it to settle and it has reached maturity. Yes, it will be overlooked because it is shrub-like, but it’s taken years for it to become so big. Don’t disturb its roots, it will not be good for the plant. Plant new trees and shrubs around this shrub because this is a mature habitat that has taken years to settle, whatever you plant here in the midst of the mature will flourish. Don’t disturb this habitat by taking plants out, add new ones. The Biologist ; Japie Buckle
