Meet Thursday

This was a good day. We slept over in Stellenbosch at an old Global Challenge friend, Nina Cilliers and then we headed into our day filled with appointments.

We sat and worked a bit at a coffee shop in the beautiful Franschhoek before heading out to the In Harmony center on La Motte farm just outside of town. Adriaan Groenewald met us at the gate to join us for the day.

We were welcomed by Godfrey the manager. From a Xhosa background, he grew up in the Freestate and can speak 6 languages. He had an encounter with Jesus age 16 and one could see the joy coming from his innermost.

The center was founded for three core purposes

REST, RESTORATION AND RECONCILIATION.

They can host maximum 60 people in luxury units. The garden was designed to take purposeful walks to contemplate in designated spots to have encounter with God. This was the closes we got to what we felt must happen on This Land. Where heaven meets earth. The question is to how exactly ours should look like.

We were late in meeting with Neil Hart at Spier. He took us on a quick tour to see a newly developed pathway before heading off. Adriaan invited us for lunch at one of the restaurants in a beautiful garden setting. Once again the large trees established few hundred of years ago contrasted against the lack of large trees in Jeffrey's Bay.

It was encouraging to hear how Adriaan, a keen gardener himself, had taken an interest in what we do and wanting to walk on the ground with us as soon as he can.

Wikus had the privilege to see his daughter for a while at her studio before heading to Lourensford in Somerset West for coffee and see their beautiful gardens.

Konrad and Marinda hosted us with pizza while Linel did a video call with her Veritas team. Konrad showed Clara around before fetching MJ and PG from where Paul dropped them.

Thanks to Ronel we had base camp to stay at and move from. One more person of peace welcoming us in.
